The girls loved Halloween this year. Elsie changed her costume last minute and became Cinderella. My parents came down for the night and went out trick or treating with us. This first picture is my mom with the girls leaving a house and Jolie would not give up the candy that she had in a tight fist. Elsie was constantly talking to our neighbors explaining what her and Jolie were dressed as. Elsie also loved saying Trick or Treat and was very good about saying thank you and commenting on other people's costumes. We would be walking down the street and she would say "You are a beautiful princess," or something similar. She is such and encourager. Jolie liked just reaching into people's bowls and grabbing a fist of candy. Then she would smiles and move on. I don't know how she knew this was something good to eat, because she had never had candy before. But you could not get the candy from her fists without a fight.
The weekend before Halloween, our life group had a costume party and we all dressed up. Skyler was Joe the Plumber, I was Pocohantus, Elsie was Tinkerbell, and Jolie was a ballerina.
This is not one of my favorite holidays, but this year we had a good time just having fun.
