Jolie is 1!!!!

Our little baby is 1 today!  She had a good day, but was a little overwhelmed with all the attention, and we tried to keep it a very simple and routine day.  Sunday is when my parents and sister are coming down.  I hope she does okay then.

My mom came down for the afternoon and brought Jolie a present.  It was Jolie's very own baby doll.  The doll came with a pacifier and bottle, so Jolie fed the baby and hugged the baby and when she was tired of playing with the baby, she threw the baby.  We are constantly working on gentle touch.

She wasn't quite sure what to do with the cake at first.  She looked and acted like it was a trick that I placed the piece of cake in front of her.  She hesitated for about a minute, but when she realized it was okay to eat, she ate a few bites of frosting and then picked up the whole piece and shoved it into her mouth.  She proceeded to be pretty irritable after awhile.  I am not sure that much sugar at one time mixes with her personality. 

She loves to climb up on this little bench in the front room.  She thinks she is a very big girl because she climbs up and down all on her own.  

Elsie is our little model who loves to be in front of the camera.  She has all the poses now.  What a ham!
